Power and wiring

Straight to the 12 V or 24 V distribution box, no inverter. It draws 25 to 30 W in real use — a little over 2 A on a 12 V circuit, or roughly 50 to 60 Ah over a full day. The 60 W on the label is the compressor's maximum, reached only while it pulls the cabinet down to temperature. Need mains power? Add the 230V to 12V adapter and it runs off a campsite hook-up.

Choosing within the range

• SVR — the low-consumption model, in the same format as the Dometic and Carbest fridges it replaces
• DCR — separate temperature control for the fridge and the freezer
• BCD — matt black finish

At 50 L you have all three. Take the BCD for the finish, the DCR if you want two independent settings, the SVR if the lowest possible draw matters most.

Which side should the door open?

Stand where you will be standing when you use it. The hinges go on the far side from you, so the open door never comes between you and the fridge. The door is reversible, so a later change of layout is never a dead end.
