Power and wiring

Straight to the 12 V or 24 V distribution box, no inverter. It draws about 35 W on average — close to 3 A on a 12 V circuit, or roughly 70 Ah over a full day. The 66 W on the label is the compressor's maximum, reached only while it pulls the cabinet down to temperature.

Choosing within the range

• SVR — the low-consumption model, in the same format as the Dometic and Carbest fridges it replaces
• DCR — separate temperature control for the fridge and the freezer
• BCD — matt black finish

At 85 L you have the choice between this one and the 85L SVR, which draws less and copies the Dometic and Carbest format. Take the BCD for the matt finish and the shorter cabinet.

Which side should the door open?

Stand where you will be standing when you use it. The hinges go on the far side from you, so the open door never comes between you and the fridge. The door is reversible, so a later change of layout is never a dead end.
