VANVENT 3.0 BLACK - Roof vent fan for motorhomes and campervans

The VANVENT 3.0 Black is a 400 × 400 mm powered roof vent that clears stale, damp air in seconds: brushless 12 V fan, 10 speeds, thermostat and a radio remote. The dome stays sealed, so it keeps ventilating while you drive and while it rains.

Choosing your colour

• Grey (smoked) — the classic choice. Cuts daylight and heat, and matches the tinted windows found on most conversions.
• Black — for black roof racks and dark-wrapped vans; the most discreet from the ground. (this page)
• White — blends into a white factory roof, and reflects the most heat in hot climates.

The three are identical mechanically and electrically — same fan, same frame, same electronics, same price.

💡 Good to know: the VANVENT fits the standard 400 × 400 mm cut-out, and its 450 × 593 mm outer flange hides the marks left by an older vent of the same size. It is a direct swap for most existing 40 × 40 vents.

Frequently asked questions

Is it road legal?
Yes — ECE R43. It can be fitted without manufacturer approval across Europe, in the UK and in Switzerland, and it passes vehicle inspection in the UK (VCA) and across Europe (e.g. VASP in France, TÜV in Germany, ITV in Spain).

Can I use it in the rain?
Yes. Ventilation keeps working with the lid closed — air circulates, humidity and condensation are pushed out, and water cannot get in.

Can I run it while driving?
Yes. The dome is sealed and stays closed, so the fan can run at motorway speed without any risk.

Will it fit my existing roof opening?
If your opening is 400 × 400 mm and your roof is 27 to 80 mm thick, yes.

Can I run it on 24 V?
Yes, with a 24 V → 12 V converter.
