Check the roof
No cross-member, no cable in the spot. On a replacement, measure the existing cut-out, not the old frame.
Cut
Jigsaw along the line, deburr, degrease.
Fill the corrugations
On a corrugated roof, butyl sealant fills the grooves: no adapter frame needed.
Seal and screw

The questions that stop people before buying
My roof is corrugated. Do I need an adapter frame?
No. Our skylights mount directly on corrugated roofs: butyl sealant fills the grooves. Fewer parts, fewer sealing points, so fewer places for a leak to appear over the years.
Is permanent ventilation compulsory?
It is required for the conversion approval in many countries, and strongly advised if you sleep in the vehicle: a constant airflow limits condensation even with the skylight closed. The STYLE 40 × 40 exists with or without it; the PANORAMA SLIM, PANORAMA LED and POWER VENT have it built in.
Can I ventilate in the rain?
Yes with the EuroVan fans and the VANVENT: the fan keeps running with the dome closed and water stays out. The VANVENT can also be used while driving.
I am replacing a Dometic Heki. Which size?
The PANORAMA SLIM 700 × 500 uses the cut-out of a Dometic Heki or a Carbest Panorama; the 960 × 655 the cut-out of a Heki 3; the PANORAMA LED 500 × 700 the cut-out of a Midi Heki. Measure the cut-out in the roof, not the visible frame.
How much sealant?
One cartridge of butyl or Sikaflex 552 AT per skylight, plus one cartridge of Sikaflex for a thin outer joint.
