Mark and cut
Trace the cut-out size on the panel, check no reinforcement crosses it, cut with a jigsaw.
Deburr and degrease
A clean edge and a degreased panel are what keep the seal watertight for years.
Wooden frame inside
On a panel van, a frame of 25 mm battens gives the counter-frame something to clamp on.
Bead of Sikaflex 265
A continuous bead on the outer frame. On a curved wall it fills the gap on its own.
Offer up and screw
One person holds the window outside, the other fits the aluminium counter-frame inside and screws it on.

What if I get the size wrong?
The size is the hole in the panel: if you can cut a rectangle of the chosen cut-out size, it fits. The outer frame overlaps by 3 cm on each side. If you get it wrong, return it within 30 days as long as it is not fitted. And before ordering, a photo sent to our team is enough to validate the size.
The wall of my van is curved. Does it fit?
Yes. The reinforced aluminium counter-frame clamps the window on curved walls as well as on flat ones; the small gap is filled by the Sikaflex. For a fitting with no visible gap on a side panel, the VanCurve has glazing curved to the radius of panel vans.
Is it accepted for the MOT / conversion approval?
Yes. Every window is ECE R43 approved: it can be fitted without manufacturer approval and is accepted for conversion approval across Europe (VASP in France, TÜV in Germany, ITV in Spain…), in the UK (DVLA, MOT) and in Switzerland (MFK).
I am replacing an existing window. Which one?
Measure the cut-out in the panel, not the visible frame of the old window. If it matches one of our sizes, you are set; if it is slightly smaller, enlarge it with the jigsaw.
Are there reinforcements behind the panel?
They vary by year and model. Mark the cut-out on your panel and check that no reinforcement, cable or duct crosses it. In doubt, send us the photo and we confirm.
Double acrylic glazing: what does it change?
Two anti-UV panes that insulate far better than single glazing: cooler in summer, warmer in winter, less condensation. Dark tint (30% light transmission) for privacy, light tint (70%) for daylight.
I am not a DIY person. Is it really doable?
Count about one hour with a jigsaw and a cordless driver, two people to offer the window up. The guide is included and our team answers during the installation. Otherwise any body shop fits it in half a day.
