A campervan electrical system needs a leisure battery, three ways to charge it (alternator while driving, solar, mains hook-up), protection and distribution, and optionally a 230 V inverter. The VANPOWER kits bring it all together, pre-sized with a detailed wiring diagram: a LiFePO4 battery (100, 200 or 314 Ah), genuine Victron components and an inverter from 600 to 2000 W. Every part is also sold separately.

Do I need a 230 V inverter?

Only if you use mains appliances. Take the wattage of your most power-hungry appliance (on its label) and multiply it by 1.25 to 1.5: an 800 W appliance needs a 1000 to 1200 W inverter. 600 W: laptop and small appliances; 1000 W: a mini-oven or microwave; 1500 W: a kettle; 2000 W: several appliances at once (314 Ah battery recommended from 1500 W). In the VANPOWER kits the inverter includes a 20 A charger and an automatic bypass on hook-up.

Kit or separate parts?

The VANPOWER kit is pre-sized and comes with a wiring diagram (with cable sections) and a step-by-step tutorial: no calculation needed, even for a first conversion. If you already have part of a system, the LiFePO4 battery, Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30A, Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30, Blue Smart IP22 charger, inverter and isolator switch are sold separately. Unlike a portable power station, everything is repairable component by component.

What is included in the VANPOWER kit?
A LiFePO4 battery with Bluetooth (100, 200 or 314 Ah), a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30A DC/DC charger, a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 for 300 to 500 W of panels, mains charging, an optional pure sine wave inverter, battery isolators, bus bars, fuses and lugs, a 12 V distribution box with a 5-gang switch panel, and a detailed wiring diagram.

VANPOWER or VANPOWER SMART?
Both have the same battery and Victron components. The SMART version replaces the standard switch panel with a connected panel you control from your phone.

Do you sell solar panels?
No. The kits include the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller; you add 300 to 500 W of panels of your choice.

Are the components approved?
The components are ECE R10 certified. Check your national conversion rules (DVLA/VCA, TÜV, RDW).
